Welcome to Abuse Free World — the home of Gaali Band Ghar, a movement dedicated to building respectful, dignified, and abuse-free communities.
Our Mission
At Abuse Free World, we believe that words have power — they can hurt, divide, or heal. Our mission is to eliminate the use of harmful, abusive, and sexist language in homes, neighbourhoods, and society at large.
We work toward ensuring that every individual, especially women and children, lives in an environment of respect, safety, and dignity.

Our Story
The idea of Gaali Band Ghar (literally “House That Bans Cursing”) was born out of the personal journey of social change-maker Sunil Jaglan. He recognized that in many Indian households and communities, everyday language often include gendered slurs, insults, and abusive words that demean women and perpetuate inequality.
Starting in his own village and expanding across Haryana and beyond, he initiated a campaign that encouraged entire homes, streets, and villages to pledge — no more cursing, no more abusing. Over time, the campaign has grown to reach many villages, towns, schools, and families who have adopted this commitment to change.
What We Do
- Community Pledges: We invite homes, streets, and villages to formally commit to eliminating abusive language.
- Workshops & Dialogues: We organize small group discussions, awareness sessions, and training to help people understand how words harm and how to transform habits.
- Counselling & Coaching: For individuals who struggle to change, we provide support, mentorship, and gentle accountability.
- Monitoring & Self-Tracking: Households use simple charts or logs to track daily language usage, noticing patterns and reducing abusive words over time.
- Youth & School Programs: We partner with schools to integrate respectful communication into curricula and support student-led campaigns (“Bal Panchayats,” peer groups).
- Replication Across Regions: Starting from Haryana, we are expanding to more villages, towns, and states, adapting to local language and culture.
Our Values
- Respect & Dignity — Every person deserves to be addressed and spoken to without demeaning language.
- Empathy & Understanding — We encourage recognizing the impact of words, stepping into others’ shoes, and being mindful.
- Community Ownership — Change is sustainable when people lead it themselves — not imposed from outside.
- Consistency & Patience — Habits don’t change overnight. We believe in steady, persistent progress.
- Inclusivity — Everyone — men, women, children, elders — is part of this movement.
Why It Matters
Abusive language — especially gendered insults — reinforces inequalities, deteriorates relationships, and creates an atmosphere of fear and disrespect. By removing such language from daily life, we can foster communication that is more constructive, peaceful, and inclusive. When we change speech, we change mindsets.
Our Vision
To see a world where every home, every street, every community is a Gaali Band Ghar — a place where respect, kindness, and dignity are the norm.
